Dr. Shumin Jia, PhD, RN, is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Medicine, Macau University of Science and Technology. She obtained her PhD in Nursing from The University of Hong Kong, following her Master of Nursing degree from Sun Yat-sen University and dual bachelor’s degrees in Nursing and Management from Shandong University. Dr. Jia is a health researcher specializing in cancer survivorship, health equity, and family-centered care, with research interests in cancer-related financial hardship, health equity, caregiving, symptom management, and end-of-life care. Her research agenda focuses on developing innovative strategies to improve cancer survivorship and supportive care, address unmet needs among patients and families, with the ultimate goal of reducing health disparities and promoting equitable outcomes for patients with cancer and their families.
