Dr. Yang Yang received her Bachelors’ degree from Shenyang Agricultural University in 2012 majoring in Biotechnology, and obtained her Ph.D degree in cell biology (neuroscience) from Zhejiang University in 2017. During her Ph.D, she visited Faculty of Medicine, University of Helsinki in Finland with a grant from the China Scholarship Council. And then continued her postdoctoral training in Helsinki for 3 years. She has participated in numerous research projects that were granted from both NCSF and Europe. Dr. Yang joined the School of Life anf Health Sciences at The Chinese University of Hong Kong (Shenzhen) as a lecturer from 2021, Jan until 2022, July. From 2022 Aug to present, she serves as Assistant Professor at Faculty of Medicine, Macau University of Science and Technology. Her main research interests include Mitochondrial protein homeostasis, Neurodegenerative disease modeling, protective mechanisms from effective Chinese medicine components and medical teaching innovation, positive learning etc.
