黃耀南博士自2019年7月起擔任澳門科技大學醫學院助理教授。他於2006年從北京師範大學獲得生物學學士學位。隨後於2007年在謝菲爾德大學分子醫學(遺傳學)領域獲得碩士學位,並以第一名的成績畢業。2012年,他在謝菲爾德大學以畢業論文毋須作任何修改的成績完成答辯並獲得醫學博士學位。在加入澳門科技大學之前,黃博士曾在謝菲爾德大學和牛津大學擔任博士後研究員。期間,他運用蛋白質生物化學、結構生物學、細胞生物學和蛋白質組學等先進技術,成功發現了病毒和人體中新的DNA複製和修復因子。這些研究成果已發表在Nucleic Acid Res., eLife, Sci. Rep.等知名期刊上。

目前,黃博士專注於尋找用於治療癌症、神經退行性疾病、免疫調節,並具有潛在臨床應用價值的天然化合物,同時探究其作用的分子機理。他最近的研究成果已發表在Pharmacol. Res., Biomark Res., Food Chem.:X and Int. J. Biol. Macromol.等期刊上。

最近,他被澳門特區政府委任為生命科學道德委員會成員和人才發展委員會「大健康」產業專責小組成員。
