Gene Core Facility
The Gene Core Facility provides comprehensive support for advanced gene expression, methylation analysis, and genetic manipulation, offering state-of-the-art tools for both fundamental research and applied genetic studies. This facility is critical for a broad range of biomedical investigations, including early detection of diseases, cancer diagnostics, and gene regulation studies.
Capabilities and Equipment
Our facility is equipped to handle a wide variety of molecular biology techniques with a focus on precision and quantitative analysis of genetic material.
Bio-Rad QX600 Digital Droplet PCR System
This cutting-edge digital droplet PCR (ddPCR) platform enables highly sensitive and absolute quantification of DNA or RNA in samples, even at very low concentrations. The QX600 is especially valuable for analyzing minimal amounts of genetic material, making it indispensable for liquid biopsy studies, early cancer detection, and other applications requiring precise genomic quantification.
Real-Time Quantitative PCR (qPCR) Systems
We provide real-time qPCR systems, such as the Applied Biosystems qPCR system, which allow researchers to quantify gene expression in real-time, essential for accurate measurement of DNA and RNA levels in samples.
Nanodrop One Microvolume Spectrophotometer
The Nanodrop One system provides rapid and accurate quantification of nucleic acids and proteins from microvolumes of sample, allowing for high-throughput analysis while preserving sample integrity.
Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) Thermocyclers
Our thermocyclers are optimized for efficient amplification of DNA, supporting both routine and high-throughput PCR workflows.
