MUST MBBS Students Engage in Community Ultrasound Screening and Medical Consultation Services

2025/01/14

On 11th and 12th January, spanning two consecutive days, several MBBS students from the MUST Medical School enthusiastically took part in a community ultrasound screening seminar and medical consultation services event. This event was organized by the Macao Health Management and Promotion Association in collaboration with the Macao Federation of Trade Unions Workers' Medical Center. The primary objective of this event was to support the Health Bureau's "Healthy Macao Blueprint," emphasizing the creation of an environment conducive to promoting healthy living practices among Macao residents. The event featured the "Health Elements" program, providing professional screening services like blood sugar, fatty liver, carotid artery, or thyroid ultrasound examinations, alongside offering attendees valuable health education.

This initiative not only provided professional health screenings and services to the local community but also, through student engagement, shared medical knowledge within the community, thereby enhancing health awareness. These medical consultation events aim to encourage more individuals to prioritize their well-being and establish a sustainable health promotion mechanism at the grassroots level. The event's remarkable success was met with enthusiasm and support from numerous participants, reflecting the dedication of MUST medical students to actively contribute to the community and showcase genuine concern for public health.
