Course Introduction
This program aims to train professionals in the fields of food and nutrition, meeting the needs of future scientific, industrial, and governmental sectors.
Graduates will possess a broad international perspective, strong sustainable development awareness, and a solid foundation in the basic theories, research methods, and advanced techniques of the discipline. They will also understand the development trends in the field.
The program will provide highly skilled professionals in food and nutrition to food manufacturing enterprises, higher education institutions, research organizations, government agencies at national and regional levels, as well as customs, commercial inspection, quality supervision, population nutrition and disease prevention, health protection, new food and food processing technology research, and environmental protection.

Degree Requirements
A total of 33 credits are required for the program. 1.The course credits are divided into core courses (12 credits) and elective courses (9 credits). Students must pass all course assessments and achieve satisfactory grades to gain 21 credits. 2.The thesis portion accounts for 12 credits. Students must submit a thesis proposal within 12 months of admission. They will then officially begin their thesis research upon completion of the thesis proposal defense. Each student will conduct systematic and in-depth scientific research under the guidance of a supervisor to develop the ability to conduct independent scientific research and complete a thesis that offers unique insights with theoretical and practical value. After completing the thesis, students must pass the thesis oral defense before applying for the master's degree.
Learning Time
1. The duration for taking all courses is 12 months and the duration for thesis writing should not be less than 6 months. 2. Classes will generally be scheduled at daytime on weekdays.
Qualifications of Graduation
Upon approval from the Senate of the University, a Master’s Degree will be conferred on a student when he or she has: (1) Completed and met the requirements prescribed in the study plan of his or her program within the specific study period, and achieved a cumulative GPA of 2.50 or above (excluding thesis) (2) Abided by the regulations of the University (3) Cleared all fees and charges and returned all University’s property and equipment borrowed. If students pass all required courses listed in Tables 1 and 2 with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or above, but fail to submit or pass the final thesis oral defense within the prescribed time, he/she can only get a completion certificate.
