The 4th Sino Asia Pacific International Medical Forum and 46th Sino Luso International Medical Forum
The 4th Sino Asia Pacific International Medical Forum and 46th Sino Luso International Medical Forum will take place in Davao, Philippines and Macao, China from November 27 to December 2, 2018. Titled “Medical Education, Innovations and Health Sciences” these exciting International medical education symposiums feature an acclaimed international line-up of civic and medical leaders. Opening ceremonies take place in Davao on November 27 with special guest Her Excellency Davao Mayor Sara Duterte, daughter of Philippines President Rodrigo Duterte. As an extension of medical diplomacy and peace, Professor Manson Fok, President of the Sino Asia Pacific International Medical Forum and Sino Luso International Medical Forum, will present Mayor Duterte and local health officials with medical equipment to aid the people of Davao. Professor Fok commented, “This is our fourth Sino Asia Pacific International Medical Forum and we are honored to have Her Excellency Mayor Sara Duterte with us. Mayor Duterte’s work for development and peace is well known so I am truly honored that she can be with us. Earlier this week China’s President Xi Jinping met with Philippines President Rodrigo Duterte and his daughter Mayor Sara Duterte. It is in this greater spirit of peace that we are here to bridge medical diplomacy. Diseases and medical treatments know no borders. ” Mayor Duterte will receive these with Davao City Health Officer Dr. Joy Villafuerte, as well as doctors from the Philippine Obstetrics and Gynecology-Southern Mindanao Chapter (POGS), the Southern Philippines Medical Center-Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology (SPMC), and the Brokenshire Integrated Health Ministries Incorporated (BIHMI) Departments of Surgery and Dept of OBGYN. These include Dr. Maribina Lim, Regional Director XI of POGS, and Dr. Sonia Rose Valles-Santos of POGS. Dr. Leopoldo Vega, Medical Director of SPMC, Dr. Helen Grace Te-Santos, Chairperson, Dept. of OB-Gyn, and Dr. Veronica M. Deniega, Chairperson, Sections Women’s Ultrasound.
