Burn and Wound Care Management Certificate Course
This 2-days workshop was chaired by the Macau University of Science and Technology: Faculty of Health Sciences on the 1st and 2nd March 2014 in the Center of Excellence for Medical Professional Development of MUST. Our aim is to advance clinical knowledge of burn and wound care management. This high quality one-day certificate course offers the most up-to-date tools for effective treatment procedures. This course will bring everyone up to speed on understanding how burns and wounds heal and why some of them become chronic. All trainees will learn implementation techniques of various treatment modalities and how they enhance healing. Special attention will be placed on dressings, critical thinking skills and progressive technology to help you make wise choices and recommendations for your patients. Two identical interactive full-day workshops are catered for local doctors, nurses and personnel in emergency services who wish to take part in advanced burn and wound care. Topics included: Wound care Paediatrics, Wound care in Adults, Diabetic Foot Disease, Obstetric Wound Care, Surgical Site Infections, Burn Patients – The Case Study Approach, Hands-on workshops Three scholars and instructors from Institute of Burn Research, Southwest Hospital, Third Military Medical University, People’s Republic of China are being invited to be our lecturers. They are Dr. Fei Xiang, Ms. Xian Lv and Prof Liju Tao.
