During the meeting, both parties highlighted the strong educational and cultural links between Macau and Portuguese-speaking countries, and explored ways to facilitate greater academic exchange between Macau and Cape Verde. The discussions also recognised the positive experiences of previous Cape Verdean students enrolled in the MBBS programme at MUST. One graduate is currently undergoing licensing training in Portugal, while two additional Cape Verdean students are presently in their fourth year of study.
The Faculty of Medicine presented the international features of its English-medium MBBS programme, including its collaborations with overseas institutions such as the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Lisbon, which provides valuable clinical exposure in Portuguese-speaking environments.
